Who ever heard of a pastor teaching history from the pulpit? Well, I suppose teaching anything from the Bible would be considered a teaching of history. But what about American history from the pulpit?

Four years following our attendance at the Bicentennial celebration in 1976, our pastor began to teach us about the Puritans. We not only examined their faith and their belief system, but we also learned about the Biblical seeds they sowed into America’s rich soil.

For me, the eighties became the decade where I began to devour anything I could find on America’s Christian history. A clear vision began to form, and my life’s call really started to come into focus.
