Sam MacDonald could easily be pegged as the heart and soul of the Bloodlines story. His life-long walk with God, a walk that took him through many trials and tribulations, deposited a wealth of wisdom and understanding, and shaped Sam into a prophetic voice of his time.

From his youth, and not unlike his father, Sam struggled to understand his call and purpose in life. His thoughts led him into deep reflection as he wrestled with big ideas. In his late teens and early twenties, circumstances carried Sam to many parts of his developing country, and he met many who form, shape and challenge his ideas as he embraces manhood. But in his quest for knowledge and understanding, he often finds himself very lonely.
