In 1215, 300 years before the Protestant Reformation got under way, a document known as The Magna Carta (Great Charter of Freedoms) was agreed upon, setting out the principle that the law was not just for the people of England, but that even King John, the king of England, was under the law.

Now… I’ve got a question for you. Are you a lover of liberty? Liberty comes from God. We’re born with it. But liberty requires an investment.

According to Dr. Marlene McMillan, liberty is the God given choice to assume responsibility and to accept the responsibilities of that choice. That’s true liberty! Liberty can only be fully realized within the construct of obedience to God.

You see, we’re made in His image and constituted in such a way that to reach our highest plane of living, we must recognize and conform to the boundaries that God has set for us. It sounds like bondage, but it’s precisely the opposite.

I know for me that in those seasons of my life that I have been God-centric, I have been the most at rest and the most satisfied.

Patriot, do you wish our nation to become a land of liberty? The only path is a return to God.
